Hi All,
Regarding having a Reccommendation letter on file: I think this started in 2010 with the Chicago convention. You must have a letter of recomendation from a known accredited Caller verifying your ability to meet the requirements of the slotted tips.
I have asked for feedback on what who would need such a letter. The following is a general consensus of who could write such a letter. I take this to mean any of the regular convention staff callers, GCA caller school coaches, a Callerlab Accredited Caller Coach or other known experienced callers who are familiar with your abilities.
If you have over 10 years calling experience, call more than 50 dances a year or have been on the regular staff caller schedule, you wouldn't need the letter.
If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know. I have added a place in your database record to record who submitted the letter for you and what year.
Terri Sherrer
GCA Secretary
